Nepal Tour
(06 Nights/ 07 Days)


First Day
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport - Kathmandu, our  Representative will meet, assist and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day leisure for acclimatization.  Overnight at Hotel.
 
Second Day
Breakfast at Hotel.
Early morning: option of a scenic Mt. Everest flight which lasts for an hour.
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmnadu city + Swayambhunath stupa and Patan city.
Lunch at Patan Museum Café.  Overnight at Hotel.

MT. EVERST FLIGHT
One-hour daily Mountain flight is operated by Airlines, to view the mighty Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest. This is the closest one can go to the peaks without having to trek. Please note that the flights do not land anywhere all you will be offered is an aerial view. Duration of the flight will be around 45 minutes to an hour. The aircraft
will be BEECH (USA) – 18 seater and SAAB – 32 seater, but out of 32 seats, they sell only 16 seats so that every one can get window. The operation of the flight is strictly subject to weather condition. The operation of the flight is between 07 am to 10 am only. 

KATHMANDU CITY
Known as Kantipur, the capital of the Kingdom of Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence.  Kashtamandap - the source of the name Kathmandu and supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree and the Durbar Square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.

-  Half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara City + one hour boat ride on Phewa Lake.
-  Airfare Pokhara/Kathmandu including domestic airport tax/fuel surcharge (but subject to change without prior notice, if revised) with necessary transfers.
-  Lunch on fixed menu basis at local restaurant in Kathmandu.
-  Half day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath+Bodhnath including entrance fees.
-  Nepalese cultural show followed by Nepalese Dinner on fixed menu basis at local restaurant with necessary transfers.

-  A local English speaking guide will be provided during sightseeing tours in Kathmandu.
-  A local English speaking naturalist will be provided in Chitwan. -  A local English speaking guide will be provided during sightseeing tour in Pokhara. Kindly note that our English speaking guide will accompany the  group of 10-14 pax in Chitwan & Pokhara.

SWAYAMBHUNATH

Located approximately 4 kms./2.5 miles, this Buddhist Stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.
PATAN 5 kms/3 miles away from Kathmandu City. Patan also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts, enclosed within 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. You will see the Durbar square; the Krishna Temple built by Kind Siddhi Narsingh Malla, Hiranya Varna Mabavihar and MahadouddhaTemple.
A trip to The Tibetan Refugee Camp and the Handicraft Center will also be done while visiting Patan, where you will witness the hand weaving of Tibetan carpets and mounding of metal statues.

Third Day
Breakfast at Hotel
We take a scenic drive to Chitwan which takes approximately 6-7 hours under normal traffic condition.  Upon arrival at Chitwan, check in at the Lodge followed up by refreshments and a briefing about the afternoon program and the lodge facilities. After lunch, proceed for wildlife activities. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.

CHITWAN
Royal Chitwan National Park (1,000 feet) is the oldest national park in Nepal, and it lies in the subtropical inner Terai lowlands of South- Central Nepal.  The park was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1984.  The park covers a pristine area with a unique ecosystem of significant value to the world.  It contains the Churiya hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains of Rapti, Reu, and Narayani Rivers.  Formerly, the Chitwan Valley was well known for big game hunting and until 1950 was exclusively managed as a hunting reserve for the Rana Prime Ministers and their guests.  In 1963, the area of south of the Rapti River was demarcated as a rhinoceros sanctuary.  In 1970, His late Majesty King Mahendra approved, in principle, the creation of Royal Chitwan National Park.


Fifth Day
After breakfast, drive to Pokhara (6-7 hrs under normal road condition).  Late afternoon: Sightseeing tour of Pokhara + a short boat trip on lake Phewa.  Overnight at Hotel.

POKHARA
The rare combination of snow-clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara (210kms/131 miles from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the kingdom. It is located virtually in the geographical center of

Nepal. Located on the main road between Kathmandu and Bhairawa, there may be no other place in the world from where Great Himalayas peaks can be admired from such a close distance. The Bindhyavasani Temple on its well-kept platform overlooks a modest amusement park. Phewa Lake, skirted by a large numbers of unpretentious lodges and simple restaurants, is the most congenial spot for visitors.

Sixth Day
Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to Pokhara airport for flight back to Kathmandu.
Arrive Kathmandu and continue sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Bodhnatu stupa.  Lunch at local restaurant.
Ev Enjoy typical Nepali Dinner with cultural dance show.

OvPASHUPATINATH Situated 5 kms. east of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has gilted roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati river, entrace in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds. 

BODHNATH This Stupa,  8 kms. east of Kathmandu City, is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It

stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behaviour and human prosperity. This Buddhis Stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest. 


Seventh Day
Breakfast at Hotel.
Free till departure transfer to airport for onward journey.

Fourth Day
Full day wildlife activities.  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.
Early risers may choose to begin their day with two hours of jungle activities, which may include canoeing, depending on the conditions of the day.  After breakfast, we enjoy a discussion with our naturalist about the kind of elephants we enjoyed riding yesterday.  We learn about regional efforts to protect and propagate this beloved and valuable animal.
After lunch together, return to ground level as we join experienced naturalists for a trek through the jungle on foot, searching for endangered birds such as the Bengal florican and the Black stork with.
We return to our lodge for dinner this evening.
